Jerald Kent is a serial entrepreneur, and chairman and CEO of Cequel III, a holding company focused on growth-oriented companies in technology, communications, and business services. In addition to his role at Cequel III, Mr. Kent is chairman and CEO of TierPoint, LLC, providing information technology and data center services, with 40 data centers in 20 U.S. markets. He was a co-founder of Charter Communications, Inc. and led the company to become one of the largest cable operators in the U.S. Mr. Kent and his wife, Judy, are part of the St. Louis Blues’ ownership group.
Mr. Kent serves on the President’s Council of The Magic House and the Saint Louis Zoo Commission, and is the immediate past chair of the Saint Louis Zoo. In addition to his leadership on the Board of Trustees, he is a member of the Olin Business School National Council. Mr. Kent is the recipient of the Olin Business School Distinguished Alumni Award (1999), the Founders Day Distinguished Alumni Award (2002), and the Dean’s Medal from the Olin Business School (2009). He and Judy received the Jane and Whitney Harris St. Louis Community Service Award in 2020. Mr. Kent earned his Bachelor of Science in business administration and his Masters of Business Administration from Washington University.
