Michael Riney is the Founder and Managing Director of QRM Capital, his family office that he administers with his wife, Quirsis. QRM Capital is focused on private investments and philanthropic endeavors in the St. Louis region. In this role, he identifies and makes investments in private companies, private equity and venture capital funds, and oversees the philanthropic mission and gifts of his family foundation. Prior to founding QRM Capital, Michael worked at Scottrade from 2008 until its sale in 2017 where he served as a licensed-stock broker for the brokerage firm, and then various roles at Scottrade’s bank in its finance and mortgage operations.
Michael is very active and passionate about his involvement in local civic organizations to which he and Quirsis have made impactful, leadership contributions to various projects. Michael is also a Member of the Zoological Commission Subdistrict of the Metropolitan Zoological Park and Museum District, and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Missouri Botanical Garden, MICDS, the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, and Washington University in St. Louis.
