Tony served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Arrowstreet Capital where he was responsible for leading and managing, an investment firm that manages over $275B for institutional investors globally. He chaired the firm’s Operating Committee and now serves as a Non-Executive Director on Arrowstreet Capital’s Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Arrowstreet in 2011, Tony was the Chief Administrative Officer at Fidelity Investments. From 2006 through 2009, he served in the United States Treasury Department in a variety of roles including Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury and Under Secretary of Domestic Finance (Acting). He oversaw U.S. Treasury financing, public debt management, Federal regulation of financial markets, and advised the Secretary on key policy matters during the global financial crisis. Before serving in Washington, D.C., he held numerous leadership positions at several asset management firms including GMO, State Street Global Advisors, PanAgora Asset Management and The Boston Company.

Tony received a Master’s degree from London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester. For his leadership and contributions during the global financial crisis, Tony was awarded the Alexander Hamilton Award, the U.S. Treasury Department’s highest honor.
