Mr. Craig D. Schnuck is chairman emeritus of Schnuck Markets, Inc. and continues to be involved in the company growth and development. Formerly, he worked at Schnucks for 42 years and served as chairman and chief executive officer for 17 years. He currently serves as a Distinguished Trustee of Washington University, formerly having served as board chair from 2014 to 2019 and immediate past vice board chair. He is a member of Washington University Executive Committee, Washington University Investment Management Company, Medical Affairs Committee, and chairman of the Facilities and Campus Planning Committee. Additionally, Mr. Schnuck is a member of Barnes Jewish Hospital Board and Barnes Jewish Hospital Finance and Planning Committee, and is the immediate past chair of Barnes Jewish Hospital Board and previous member of the BJC/WUSM Relationship Committee. Mr. Schnuck previously served as past chair of the boards for Civic Progress, United Way, John Burroughs School and St. Louis Area Council of Boy Scouts of America along with membership on the boards of USBancorp, Edison Brothers Stores Inc., General American Life Insurance Companies and BJC Healthcare (vice chair). Mr. Schnuck holds a bachelor’s degree in food industry management and an M.B.A. in finance from Cornell University.
